An Adventure Day in Jinja

You will be picked up from your hotel or residence early in the morning and set off along the Kampala–Jinja highway. The first stop will be at Sezibwa Falls, where you will take a guided nature walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery of cascading waterfalls. Here, you will also learn about the cultural and spiritual significance of the site to the Baganda people.

The next stop is Najjembe Market, a roadside food hub famous for its mouthwatering grilled chicken, roasted plantain, nyama choma, and freshly harvested fruits. The lively vendors make the experience all the more enjoyable.

Continuing to Jinja, you will visit the Uganda Railway Museum, home to relics of the very first trains that shaped Uganda’s colonial and trade history. This stop is both educational and entertaining, with plenty of opportunities for photography.

Lunch will be in Jinja town before heading to the highlight of the day. A relaxing boat cruise to the Source of the Nile. Feel the refreshing breeze as you take in scenic views of the mighty river and make a stop at the Mahatma Gandhi Monument, a site rich in history.

If time allows, you will also pause at the Nile Bridge at sunset for stunning photo opportunities before beginning the return journey to Kampala, arriving in the evening with cherished memories.
